It was a three-screen app, coded in the fly, powered team's ambitions grew.

In 4 years i learned how implement design features and scalable architectures with all hell of intricate details, yet featuring a simple and intuitive UI

Problem

🤔 I don’t really understand the alert 💬 that poops up after selecting a photo.

Validation

Analyzing data, I found that the Live Photo feature is used by only 1% of users.

For other 99%, this alert may complicates the flow and metrics

Solution

Keep the feature visible for live photo users, but less intrusive for others

💡 Key takeaways: The feature boosted metrics without impacting Live Photo users.

Quantity Data in Quality Experience

Untitled

Problem

🤔 Based on regular data research, revealed that users frequently closed editor, multiple times in one session

What’s improved

Export quantity Retention

Target Audience 💬

👤 Fun Editor

❝ I use Prequel to edit photos because my favorite band posts with similar filters ❞

👤 Instagram user

❝ I love retro media aesthetics ❞

1. Closing problem

🤔 It seems users dislike Editor, but they close so frequently… So, they did it for some job.

1 I build all edit scenarios 💬

2 Then i conduct Brainstorming 💬, Interviews 💬, and Market research 💬 to gather insights.

3 Most interesting insides, that may increase export media quantity

Solution

"Want to go back a step" is the initial idea for all scenarios.

The "X" button is the optimal bottle neck to separate different scenarios. Also confirms the closing, avoiding the addition of new screens.

For simplicity, let's use a native component with AB-testing.
